Our selection of bespoke glass products are all hand made in our studio
Hi, and welcome to the ArtinGlass Workshop area.
This is one of my favourite areas of the website because it is the start of "your" interest in creating a piece of art, of your own making and design. No previous knowledge about temperatures, the thickness of glass, compatibility, colour, transparent/opaque, etc. is needed as it will all be touched on in the introduction to your workshop. They are all important, as with many other things, that you will need to know if you get bitten by the "Fusing Bug". You may not even get round to cutting glass, which is not as daunting as it may seem, but you will have something to take home to remind you of your time spent at ArtinGlass!
I like to run beginner workshops for two hours, which is enough time to learn a little and create a keepsake. The cost for the two hours is £30, including your glass. All are welcome to the workshop, including children from the age of 15 who are interested. However, the size of our workshop restricts us to three guests per session.
I have attached a couple of photos of beginner's work in the kiln prior to firing, to give some idea of what you can produce. You will generally start with a coaster size piece of glass 10 x 10cm and create a "picture in glass".
Please note that pieces will not be available for collection until 24 hours after going into the kiln, but we can post small starter pieces to addresses in the UK.
If you are interested in a workshop, please contact me under the "Contact" tab and use the "Get in Touch" form.
Below are a couple of beautiful designs which customers have made in workshops with myself. I encourage customers to be as creative as they like and design glass exactly how they want it with recommendations and help from myself.
